This policy explains what personal data Markety collects, why, how long it is kept and what rights you have. It covers our website markety.com.tr, our marketing and e-commerce services, and the WhatsApp Business messages we send and receive.

Data we collect
- Contact details you send us: your name, email address, phone number, company name and the content of your message, when you write to us by email, phone or WhatsApp.
- WhatsApp data: your WhatsApp phone number, profile name, the messages you exchange with us, and delivery and read status provided by WhatsApp.
- Customer data from our clients: when we run WhatsApp messaging, stores or campaigns for a client business, we handle that business's customer data (for example names, phone numbers and order details) only on the client's instructions.
- Technical data: our web server records standard logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested and time) for security. The website uses no advertising or tracking cookies. Your language choice is stored only in your own browser.
How we use it
- To answer your enquiries and provide the services you ask for.
- To send WhatsApp messages you have agreed to receive, such as order confirmations, delivery updates, appointment reminders and replies to your questions.
- To send marketing messages only where you have given clear consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To keep our systems secure and to meet our legal and tax obligations.
We process personal data under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK), on the basis of your explicit consent, the performance of a contract, our legal obligations, or our legitimate interests. Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we rely on the equivalent legal bases.
WhatsApp Business messaging
- We use the WhatsApp Business Platform provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. and WhatsApp LLC. Messages pass through WhatsApp's infrastructure and are also subject to the WhatsApp Business Policy and Meta's privacy terms.
- We message only people who have opted in to hear from us or from the business we act for, or who started the conversation themselves.
- Messages that open a conversation use templates approved by Meta.
- You can stop messages at any time by replying STOP (or «إيقاف»), by blocking the number, or by writing to info@markety.com.tr. We record your opt-out so that it is respected.
- We never sell WhatsApp phone numbers or conversations, and never use them for any purpose other than the one you agreed to.
Who we share data with
We share personal data only with providers that help us deliver our services (hosting, email, Meta/WhatsApp, and the advertising or e-commerce platforms a client chooses), with the client business on whose behalf a conversation takes place, and with public authorities when the law requires it. Each provider may use the data only to provide its service to us.
International transfers
Some providers, including Meta, store data on servers outside Türkiye. Such transfers are made in line with Article 9 of KVKK, using the safeguards the law requires or your explicit consent.
How long we keep data
- Enquiries and correspondence: up to 2 years after our last contact.
- WhatsApp conversations: for as long as needed to provide the service, and no longer than 12 months after the service ends, unless a longer period is required by law.
- Accounting and contract records: for the periods required by Turkish commercial and tax law (generally 10 years).
- Opt-out records: for as long as needed to make sure we do not message you again.
How we protect data
Access to personal data is limited to staff who need it, protected by individual accounts and two-factor authentication where available. WhatsApp messages are encrypted in transit.
Your rights and data deletion
Under Article 11 of KVKK (and the GDPR where it applies) you may ask whether we hold data about you, receive a copy, have it corrected or deleted, object to its processing, and withdraw consent at any time.
To delete your data, email info@markety.com.tr with the subject "Data deletion request" and include the phone number or email address you used with us, or send the same request to us on WhatsApp. We will confirm the deletion within 30 days. If we handle your data for a client business, we will pass your request to that business and act on its instructions.
Children
Our services are meant for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version, and significant changes will be announced on this page.
